On March 18, 1991, during a Simpsons episode on Germany’s Tele Ten, the couch gag glitched—spinning endlessly as the family distorted. Suddenly, it cut to grainy footage of a man resembling BorisAnimated being arrested by German police. Red text flashed: “DON’T WORRY. WE’LL COMING FOR YOU. — MR. REILY.” Then, a creepy voice whispered in German. Tele Ten’s broadcast cut out for minutes. The episode never aired again.
