One of my favorite Looney Tunes cartoons is where Daffy Duck is Robin Hood and Porky Pig is Friar Tuck. Daffy is disparately trying to prove to Porky that he really is Robin Hood. So Daffy jumps from a tree to swipe the riches off some higher up passing by on a horse. He keeps screwing up much to Porky's delight and at one point Daffy swings from a tree where he crashes into every tree in the forest. Classic Looney Tunes

I have really been thinking about picking up some of the DVD's. No station shows them anymore, or I just keep missing them.

the great piggy bank robbery is an awesome loonie tunes cartoon. its chock-full of great classic scenes, like daffys wild expressions as he reads the dick tracy comic book, his scouring the streets and bumping into sherlock jones-"scram, sherlock, im working this side of the street", his bus ride to the gangster hideout, which debuted only 2 seconds (watch the episode and youll understand, all the classic villians that daffy faces off against, and the amazing moment when daffy gets out of a crowd of villians by coming apart and refixing himself at the other end. truly classic stuff.

When Bugs Bunny could dismantle Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam or Marvin the Martian's evil plans in about two seconds and usually have it damage the person trying to do the damage.

Sometimes Bugs or Daffy and their given victim would make each other so psychotic they'd both revel in their psychosis together.

In Water Water Every Hare when Bugs and the scientist both get messed up on ether and become too sedated to fight any more.

In the cartoon "Bugs Bunny Rides Again", Yosemite Sam chases Bugs into a tunnel and by the time Sam enters the tunnel, Bugs puts up a brick wall at the end of it; whereas, when Sam makes it at the end of the tunnel, we see him and his horse smash into the wall in a bright flash, revealing their impact with the wall. I bust a gust each time I see that part.

Dripalong Daffy versus Nasty Canasta is a riot all the way through. There's also a Bugs Bunny cartoon where Bugs is calling a square dance and every move makes these two hillbillies beat each other senseless.

WOW! That's called "Hyde and Go Tweet" from 1960. Another great cartoon. When my grandma was alive, this was her favorite cartoon!

I also like any Pepe LE pew cartoons, the Daffy Duck cartoon where he was trying to avoid the "Little man from the draft board", also "Stupor Duck">

Does anyone know the name of the cartoon where Bugs Bunny takes the place of Road Runner? Road Runner was supposed to be hurt, and Bugs was taken vitamins to run fast.

Another great cartoon, from 1950 "Hillbilly Hare" was so heavily edited in the 1980's that some kids never saw the original version. This may be one of the longest and best cartoon slapstick gag sequences I've ever seen. Gotta love this stuff!

Here is a stanza from wikipedia just for fun:

                                        Grab a fencepost, . . . hold it tight,
Whomp your pardner with all your might!
Hit 'im in the shin, hit 'im in the head,
Hit him again; . . . the critter ain't dead!
