What about Near Dark (1987)? that's an awesome criminally underrated vampire movie from the director of the Hurt Locker, a remarkable cult classic that came out the same year as The Lost Boys only i think it's better than LB because audiences were not ready for 2 heaps of bloodsucking action as it got lost under the radar with now a major cult following. I mean Lost Boys is great but ND is even better especially with it's originality, it's incredible story of survival as a modern for the 80's western with bloodsuckers and Bill Paxton is the shit as Severen who could rival David from Lost Boys.
