These series of theatrical animated shorts began life in the 1930's and consisted of a large amount of characters and settings contain slapstick humor and musical numbers. As the years progressed many more characters were added to the Looney Tunes roster including: Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, Speedy Gonzales, Tweety, Marvin the Martian, Tasmanian Devil, Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner, Foghorn Leghorn, Yosemite Sam, Pepé Le Pew, Buddy, Bosko and many more.
The shorts remained hugely successful and even surpassed the animated shorts of Disney. In 1960's the short were brought to television. The shorts have been aired on many television networks but now find a home at it's current owner, Time Warner, through Cartoon Network and Boomerang.
Looney Tunes shorts are still made even today and presented in front of various films and specials.The Looney Tunes have now moved on to television shows, movies specials and even the internet however many fans and critics still think the original shorts are true classics of animation.
