Wheel of Fortune
Debut: January 06, 1975

Created by Merv Griffin, the popular hangman-style game has players spinning a large wheel and guessing the letters to solve a word puzzle and earn prizes. Beginning on NBC in 1975, the show was hosted by Chuck Woolery and Suzanne Stafford was the co-hostess who revealed the letters on the board. On September 19, 1983 the more well-known and iconic syndicated evening version of the show would begin. Former LA Weatherman Pat Sajak would become the host of the show. In 1982, Vanna White, who was a contestant on "The Price is Right" in 1980, would take over turning letters on the daytime version and would join Sajak on the nighttime version. In 2024, Sajak would retire from hosting the show with Ryan Seacrest taking over starting in season 42.
