Famed race car Lightning McQueen suffers a catastrophic crash while trying to compete with a younger rival named Jackson Storm. Afterwards, McQueen embraces new technologies as he trains for a return to the racetrack. Lightning wants to show the world that despite being out-of-date he can still make the best of new technology to keep his title of World's Greatest Racecar. The film features several of the personalities from NASCAR voicing new characters in the film.
