Scent of Mystery
Release: January 06, 1960

A mystery novelist discovers a plan to murder an American heiress while on vacation in Spain. He enlists the help of a taxi driver to travel across the Spanish countryside in order to thwart the crime. This film used Smell-O-Vision, a new technology that released scents into the movie theater that tied into the story. In fact, the various scents released were integral to the story! Later re-released under the name "Holiday in Spain" with no live scents.

Oliver Larker: "I haven't been away from my flat in 9 years, and 6 mysteries. But, I suppose the creator of a private eye has to get out in public every so often. And I hate to travel - unless it's in the Commonwealth. Otherwise you meet so many foreigners, who don't even speak English. And all those beastly tourists - mostly Americans. They don't speak English either."
