Nintendo of America has announced this morning that Charles Martinet, the long-time voice of characters including Mario, Luigi, Wario, & Waluigi has stepped down from his role as a voice actor to take on the new role of "Mario Ambassador" for the Super Mario brand as a whole. Mario & Luigi will take on new voices in the upcoming "Super Mario Bros Wonder" and Wario in the upcoming "WarioWare: Move It!"

I got to meet him at SiliCon in San Jose last year. I even got both an autograph from him on a mini Mario poster and a photo with him.

That's great.

His very last time he voiced for Nintendo was in The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023).
