With rumors circulating that Gears of War, or at least a Gears of War type of game appearing on PLAYSTATION 3, do you think that Gears should be exclusive to just the XBOX 360 consoles?
I would like to, especially when I don't have a xbox360.
Its interesting to note that Gears of War is already confirmed to be on the PC: http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=16483 Additional content will be added like new single player chapters and muiltiplayer maps. No word on a release date yet but most likely sometime this fall or Christmas of this year.

Another thing to mention is this game is being ported to Mac Computers as well. But as far as console wise, I think the game should stay and XBOX 360 exclusive.

I hate third party exclusives. There was a time when one might have purchased 2 consoles, but with the price of the 360 and PS3 that would be an expensive proposition.
well since its published by Microsoft...yes...
i love having all systems to have 3rd party games, but i kinda feel that some systems deserve at least some exclusives...

Umm..what rumors? I have yet to hear ONE rumor of GoW or GoW type games being on PS3...and i check IGN, gamespot everyday AND I work at a video game store. Gears of War is made, or at least published, by Microsoft. So it will never goto the competition. Not this console war anywa, maybe if microsoft pulls a sega in 5 years and becomes just software, which is like 99% not going to happen. But Gears of War will never be on anything except Microsoft systems. I could easily see GoW ripoffs though.
There were rumors? I thought that Gears of War was a first party game and first party games never go multi platform.
Why not? I see no problem with Gears of War for the PS3. Same with Metal Gear Solid 4 for the Xbox 360.

Gears of War is a second party title from Epic games. Epic itself is an third party developer, but Microsoft provided the funding for the project.
Cliffy B. from Epic games announced that there would be some games similar or located in the Gears of War Universe that would be appearing on PS3. It probably will not be the exact game or title, but it will have all of it's elements and such.
I remember hearing a while back that Cliffy B. and Epic got into a scuffle with Microsoft and he threatened to port Gears Of War to the PS3. But this of course never came to frutition. I will search around and get you guys some links to both articles that say that.:)
My question to all is this. Why do some of you people wish that Gears of War remains an exclusive to the Xbox 360, but you dont want Metal Gear as an exclusive to the PLAYSTATION 3? They are both good games for two good systems. And every system needs their exclusive I feel.

Yes, it should remain off the PS3. It's no longer a 360 exclusive though, now that they've announced the PC and Mac versions.

IMO, I wouldn't really count computers for consoles...
