OK, long topic title i know but I have been a long time video game collector and i also am an avid action figure collector. I have TONS of actions figures, mostly opened and actually played with as a kid, but I got a lot still in box. I was wondering the best way to stick a boxed figure on a wall without using tape or other things that will rip the cardboard when I take them down someday.

They all have the small peg hooks at top so my thought is I should just put some hooks in the wall (or those plastic hooks with adhesive backing) and hang them. But any of you who have your collections mounted on walls, how do you do it? I am mainly doing it not just cuz it'll look cool but also I need more room for new stuff on the shelves i currently have the figures on and I have a lot of wall space in between my numerous old school game related posters.

I just put a thumbtack on the wall and use the hang tab on the backboard.

No problem. I usually use the thumbtacks with the clear plastic. Just looks better.

Those boards with the interchangeable pegs that you use for storing tools are also quite handy for hanging action figures.

Yeah those are good for a collection and covering a part of a wall. I only have a few figures in the original package on my wall. The rest are on shelves.

I had mine held into the wall with small nails. The only problem is the bubbles collect dust after a while which is not only a pain to clean, but you risk damaging the card every time you do it. If you have anything valuable, you might want to pick up a a few plastic bags made for storing comic books. They're the right size for just about every card and are alot easier to clean.

They're not that hard to clean. I use the Swifter duster and that works just fine. I use that bloody thing on just about damned near everything.

The guy who owns the computer shop I go to for parts has action figures all over his wall. I'll ask him the next time I'm down that way.

Invest in some Star cases. They protect card and bubble and also have a punch hole for hanging up. They are pretty affordable too, not like the acrylic cases used by AFA.
