Isn't it amazeing how some logos have changed over the years and some are still pretty much the same. I saw a program recently that was produced by WGBH, and the logo was the same as it always has been.

For some reason, when I saw the Family Home Entertainment page and heard the theme I was waiting for the origional TMNT theme to start :D

WHY DID THEY HAVE TO HAVE THE OLD PBS LOGO????? I couldve done with out seeing that again.

Those logos bring back memories. I remember the "Screen Gems" logo with those cheesy organ music used at the end of "Bewitched", "Gidget", "The Partridge Family" and other show. The most scariest logo was the MGM lion roars at the beginning of the movie. That opening scares me to death. The only logo that is not scary was the "Walt Disney Pictures" open using a few bars of "When You Wish Upon a Star". In addition to that, the famous Dualstar logo made by Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen. It has some weird music kinda like "Jaws", the beam was kinda freaky after I watched that logo. Here is the pic.

I don't like studio logos, it gives me lots of nightmares.

I miss a lot of those logos appearing on TV and movies and I get all fuzzy when I see them. These include:

        - The Rysher Entertainment logo that came on at the end of California Dreams and had a view of a city at night with sexy saxophone-jazz music.

        - The Vin de Bona logo that came on at the end of America's Funniest Home Videos.

        - The 90's Dic logo that had the camera zooming through the window out of a kid's room while a spiky ball forms the dot on the "I" of the word "Dic" and a high-pitched "Dic" at the end.

        - The old Viacom logos mentioned on this site, but the 90's is the one that I remember most with its zig-zag line and the man's voice saying "Viacom."

        - The Gracie Films logo at the end of the Simpsons and The Critic.

        - The synth-laden Universal logo from the 80's that came after Murder, She Wrote.

        - The old completely hand-drawn 20th Century logo from the 50's up to around the mid-90's.

Thank you for sending these, parrothead! I'd love to see most of these (But not all) on RJ some time!

True, but when the studios change to new ones, you can take their old ones.

I understand that parrothead, movies and TV logos are just classics that I do remember from years ago. These logos makes me wanna miss my favorite shows. :( I remember the Filmation, Ruby-Spears, Hanna-Barbera (with a swirling star), Worldvision, DIC, King Features, Group W, Blair TV (with those freaky sound effects), MTM (with a cat says "Meow!"), the Viacom "V" symbol, ITC, RKO Television (with a WOR-TV channel 9 logo on top) and many others that I missed from the good old days of these studio logos.

If you love to listen to this logo, I have a sound clip from the closing credits of the TV show "Dallas" where a voiceover announcer promoting the "CBS Late Movie" and the "CBS Evening News with Dan Rather", he was retired last year, he is now on "60 Minutes". After the closing credits you'll hear the Lorimar logo played at the end. That lasted between 1972 until 1985 where they merged with Telepictures and it became Lorimar/Telepictures by the mid-80's until it was separated in 1989 where it was just Lorimar and continued until the studio closed tis doors in either 1993 or 1994 where it is now Warner Brothers. I missed that logo very much. :( It was later replaced by a WB logo after the closing credits of "Dallas". Here it is in MP3

              I also miss:

              - The KingWorld "klieg lights" logo that showed after old episodes of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

              - The Stephen J. Cannell logo (That was parodied on an episode of Family Guy).

              - The logo that appeared after Donahue that had, I think, a blue background (I can't remember what it was, please help me!).

              - The Hanna-Barbera swirling star logo that aired up to around the 2000's.

              - The Orion Pictures logo.

              - The WNET logo that aired after older episodes of Shining Time Station (I think the background was blue).

              - The 90's Program Exchange logo shown on one of the links.

That logo was from the end of "The Honeymooners" during WPIX-TV's "Honeymooners' Blow Out" that it was aired on New Year's Day. It was on some weekend WPIX-TV is still airing. Viacom is the company that owns Paramount, MTV, Nickelodeon and also part of the parent company CBS Corp. Maybe if Viacom gets out someday, the closing logo is going to become CBS Television Stations instead of Viacom.

I miss that sweet 80s Marvel logo with the 3d Spider-man coming at you.. just some awesome animation.

I also remember some logo with a cat meowing,

and that evil DIC kid in bed logo with a high pitch "DIC" heard at the end, that was demented.

I miss Rysher's logo, with the saxaphone tune and the falling star over a nightime city. Also the picture and tune from RIGHT after Mr. Roger's neighborhood went off back in the 80's...it was a pic of the trolley and near it was a pole with "CTW" on top of it.

That damn FHE logo is creepy! It sounds like it can be easily reproduced on the Sega Genesis/Megadrive, too!

And the WNET logo mentioned in one of my earlier posts had a black background with a view of New York through a radar screen. The line spun around three times, too.

WNET and WETA recently got new logos, WNET is "thirteen on roof top" and WETA is on a CGI white background still has the red lines and WETA letters is black. Their late/mid 1990's logos WETA's logo red lines and gold letters and thirteen's "bubbles" logo were outdated for now :)

The CTW sparks always scares me when Mathnet or 321 contact comes on, but the pink PBS alternatvie logo was one of the chessiest logos like the 1989-1991 disney channel prime time line up bumpers as well as the summer 1992 short lived disney channel prime time line up bumper with the instruments if anyone has the video of them. The pink PBS alternatvie logo from 1989-1998 was used on Newshour (1995-1997?)and Charlie rose or probaly Mathnet

That was from "Saved By The Bell" with just space with no city. The Rysher logo without a saxaphone playing the logo ID was shown at the beginning of "It Takes Two" and "Private Parts". When I was a kid, I remember the ITC logo used for the "Muppet Show" that has been on for years except the "Thunderbirds" TV show and "Thunderbirds 2086". I don't see the ITC logo in every season of the "Muppet Show" DVD. I tried to post a link from TV-Ark for the ITC logo with the atom-shaped thing in the background, but I can't post the video clip on TV-Ark because the site was down. It will be back online soon. I missed the ITC logo.
