I saw an old episode of an obscure 80's tv show (Tales from the Darkside) and got to thinking about some others that I thought weren't on that long:

Darkroom
The Phoenix
Lottery

And I remember an old tv music video show that was on for like 1 summer in 1984 or 85 - I think it was called Hot Hit Videos but can't find anything about it.

To me, Darkroom sounds like it would be a copy of Rod Serling's Night Gallery, and the third one I don't know. But I definitely remember the very short-lived Phoenix. I only saw the pilot and two of the 5 episodes when it aired on ABC. I didn't see the whole thing until Sci-Fi channel had it back in the channel's early years. One thing I liked was that an episode took place in the general St. Louis area, near where I'm from. Since the main character was searching burial grounds, it brought him to the Cahokia Mounds area.
A few years ago, I got a dvd of the series from someone on eBay. Definitely not high quality, as it was made from a VHS tape. Seeing as how another 80s scifi show 'Voyagers' had a commercial dvd release, maybe The Phoenix will get a shot. Hell, even that annoying 80s show 'Small Wonder' gets a Season 1 release in February.

BTW, season one of Tales From the Darkside is on dvd also.

I love "Tales from the Darkside"...I always make it a point to watch it when it's on Chiller.

I remember The A-Team, Knight Rider, and The Master. Those are the big ones that really stand out the most for me. I also remember Airwolf as well.

Also there was the Tron-like tv show Automan, Street Hawk(motorcycle version of Knight Rider), Misfits of Science(starring pre-Friends Courtney Cox).

Darkroom use to scare me with the opening and some of the stories. The Phoenix me and my mom loved that show I just wish stupid ABC made it last long like 4 seasons. Lottery I remember that one starring Gemini Man's Ben Murphy as a lottery employee finding people who won the lottery.
