I'll start with The Three Caballeros. I LOVED that film when I was little. What makes it so great is it has a great selection of music and dances from around the world. I would also like to mention That Darn Cat. I'm talking about the one from the 60s, not the remake with Christina Ricci. And the first Apple Dumpling Gang. That one's so much better than the second one, because it's funnier, and it has more charecters. What are your favorite old Disney films that nobody mentions?

I loved the Apple Dumpling Gang. Don Knotts and Tim Conway were brilliantly funny. How about The Absent Minded Professor and Blackbeard's Ghost? I thought those were both great when I was a kid. I haven't seen either of them in about twenty years and yet I remember them almost perfectly. Another one I loved was Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I thought the scene at the end with the armor marching into battle was the greatest, and of course the animated part with the animals. For some reason I never hear anyone talk about that movie. This past year I ran across a DVD of Johnny Tremain and bought it. That was the first time I had seen that movie in probably twenty years.
It's weird, all these movies had some kind of impact on my, yet most of them came out years before I was born. The Great Mouse Detective came out a few years after I was born and I loved that one.

I always liked the Rescuers Down Under. Even though it isn't as well known as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King, I still consider it to be part of the Disney renaissance. In fact, I actually enjoyed it more than the original Rescuers. I mean, it was a good movie too, but there was just something really depressing about it, even at the end when she gets adopted. I'm not sure why.
Recipe for nostalgia: Mix 80's and 90's culture. Stir in some good memories. Add a dash of reflection. Mixture should now taste bittersweet. Shake well and enjoy!

In my final meeting with the gods from the heavens above, as they spoke to me and hit me with the power of the Ultimate Warrior, they told me Exit stage left! Exit stage rig
I second the Rescuers Down Under. I initially came to like this film due to the promotional tie ins at the time and really enjoyed it. Must have been a Happy Meal toy or a cereal box prize :-P
I love you, Donna Troy.

Slightly off topic but I know McDonald's did a Christmas ornament promotion for The Rescuers Down Under.

Oliver and Company, The Black Couldren, Pete's Dragon, Watchers In The Woods (or maybe it's watcher's woods? can't remember but it scared the crap out of me), Fun and Fancy Free (the movie with Mickey and the beanstalk and Bongo the bear), Lady And The Tramp, Pollyanna, The Sword In The Stone and the Gnome Mobile.

Oh my gosh!! Yes, Watcher in the Woods (or was it Watcher of the Woods?) Either way, I loved that movie! It was cool and spooky. Wasn't Bette Davis in that movie?
And I'm surprised I didn't think to add The Sword in the Stone which is another childhood favorite along with Pollyanna and the remake, Polly.

"The sword in the stone" and "A Goofy movie" are both underrated.
