      Loved it.

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Even my mom watched it with me sometimes, once informing me that it was one actor playing several of the costumed parts.

I remeber that show as well. The adults on that show used to creep me out. Thay all had bags under their eyes and shit. I loved it when they said "I don't know" and got owned with a bunch of slime on their bowl cut heads. It happened with water too, but water doesn't have the same effect as oatmeal with green food coloring.

This show was pretty damn cool! I remember having a huge crush on Moose, she was so hot. I always liked the bus driver because that crazy bastard always wrecked the bus. But the best part was the slime falling on there head after someone said 'I DON'T KNOW".

I liked all of it! Especially the characters. they were so goofy. I wish they could make a new version of it somehow

ok, i know this is an old post but i just wanted to let you guys know that i found some1 on ebay selling some episodes. The DVDs are menu driven w/ HTML files and include screen captures, links to the videos as well as info included for each episode such as episode #, year the episode aired, and cast and episode synopsis.

it's a 3 DVD-ROM set, full of episodes, some clips from the slimecon convention and some outtakes. the videos are in WMV format and will only play on a PC, not in a stand alone DVD player.

i've only watched a few episodes so far, the audio seems a bit low and the quality of the videos is *OK* they look like VCR recordings that were transferred to a PC and then burned to DVD-R. it's not a complete set of the episodes, but there are many of the old episodes when the show was just starting out as a local saturday morning variety show in Canada.

the 'buy it now' price was only $15 and the seller shipped it really fast, i got it like 3 days after the auction ended.

wasn't there a dirty old greasy cook named barf? and was that the show where they all be inside of lockers, then they'd open them and tell jokes? kind of like on laugh-in.

My favorite episode as a kid was the one where they put a red box and a green box on the screen and told the kids at home to touch one as a poll to decide things. Like whether or not someone was slimed or whether or not they were executed by the firing squad. As a kid I thought that was the neatest thing. It was a few years later that I realized it couldn't work.

I used to really enjoy watching You Can't Do That On Television, even if I didn't get all of the jokes. The only ep I can remember right off, though, that seems to be embedded into my memory, is the one with the red slime. Don't remember the basis of it...just the fact that everyone was getting slimed by red slime. ^^

Even though I had yet to hit 10 years old when Nick finally stopped showing it (it ended in 1990, right?), the eps I remember liking most were those from 1984 and earlier mainly because I really liked Christine, Lisa, Alistair, Dougie (sp?). I liked Adam too (for the later eps).

I still find it quite sad how Nick doesn't have the rights to all of the eps, and only the ones that featured Alanis Moirsette (which weren't all that good, imo). Wish they did have the rights to it, so whenever they do any kind of a flashback day on Nick, they'd have more choices of eps to choose from than like two or three.

i seem to recall an episode with one sketch where they were naked and had black boxes covering their private areas.
