Like I mentioned in another topic, I really enjoyed Johnny Quest in general; the 60s version, The New Adventures of Johnny Quest (80s), and The Real Adventures. The only thing I did dislike about the 90s version, was the fact that it never technically ended to my knowledge.
And this, right here, is why I would choose some of the Japanese animated toons over ours. Even if the series is a crappy one, they usually do have some kind of a "final episode" to wrap up the series, even if it's a weak ending.
It's strange. Years ago, when the original version aired on TNT, my mother was trying to get me to watch an ep and how she liked it as a kid. My dad liked it too. I was so against it then (I had to have been about 11 or 12). I just said, "It's boring." Later on, I saw an ep of The New Adventures of Johnny Quest, and got hooked on it after that, and realized the Johnny Quest series as a whole is pretty good.
Is there anyone here that read the original comic book series?
That aside, about the 3D-animation, I must be a strange one because I never really thought much of it. I mean, I liked the show for the story-line, as well as the characters, and find that more important than a show's animation. I still feel the same way to this day in that regard.
