Who remembers "Sidekicks"? Sidekicks was pretty much a "cop show" in which a young adopted Asian boy (played by Ernie Reyes, Jr.) uses his karate skills to fight and capture criminals, often working with his father who was a police officer in the show. The series ran from September 1986 until spring/summer 1987. Each episode was a half-hour long and aired Friday (later Saturday) evenings. Although I was never a big TV person, Sidekicks was one of several favorite shows I had during the mid 1980's (along with WWF wrestling and 2 other short-lived shows..."The Bronx Zoo" and "Crime Story") and I was disappointed when it went off the air.

There was a 90s movie called Sidekicks, but I don't remember seeing the 80s TV show. :?

^It's not like he made it up.

I also remember it vaguely. My only recollection of it is from the Fluppy Dogs broadcast in November 1986. I believe that Jonathan Brandis was on the show at some point.

I remember it, but thought it was only shown in bits and peices on the MMC (Mickey Mouse Club). I know he was also in their "my secret bodyguard" or whatever
