I remember the Disney Channel didn't use to show commercials. But I don't remember when they started to show commercials during shows.

The Disney Channel is going down the drain. The old Disney Channel never had commericals, it's all about the money.
Yeah I know it's a shame they are showing commericals now but, when did the Disney Channel start showing commericals? I think it was a bit before Even Stevens appeared on the Disney Channel but a date would help me out.

They're not showing "real" commercials are they?? I think they just show ads for other programs on disney channel. But yeah, I remember when none of the shows were interupted. I also remember days when you had to pay to get the Disney Channel, just like HBO and Showtime. It was actually worth paying for though back then, better programming.

They're mostly promos for other Disney Channel shows, as well as some for ABC and other Disney-owned properties that tend to get seen during the breaks. Perhaps an ad for a Disney cruise or theme park also can be shown as well.
Yeah I guess you can say Disney doesn't show any real commercials because all they show is stuff advertising themselves. But When did they start to interupt shows.

It was pretty close to then, but a little earlier. It was in 1997 actually. That's when Disney changed from being a premium channel to being a basic cable channel.

i remember when you had to pay for the disney channel. every now and then we would get a free week to preview it. i always had my vcr ready to record every show i could.
I remember when you had to pay for it too. Nice channel to have back then it had a lot of good shows back then. Not like the stuff the have now.

yeah, disney channel is starting to suck just like nick. i say bring back some of the classics and get people watching again. i know i would start watching if they brought back shows from way back when.
