I loved this movie and found it incredibly touching. It had so many good elements of growing up, and the ending was painfully firmilar. Was anyone else drawn to this movie as well?

My friend worked in a movie theatre when this movie came out. I remember her saying that parents kept getting upset afterwards complaining that it wasn't appropriate for kids.

That was one of my favorite movies! When I was younger, I'd always fastforward through the part where the kid hit Skip, but it was still one of my favorites! I still have it on VHS, too
