Okay, I have seeen/heard over and over again "Rainbow Brite, see the shining light.." And there are even lyrics to a "Rainbow Brite and Me" song which is not it either... What I remember went something like this...

A little dance in the moon light
Sunny sparkling shine
You'll always beeee....
A friend of mine"
Anybody else remember these lyrics? I have typed them into google over and over again, different parts of the song everytime and it doesn't seem to exist for me! Any help would be great.. Or if you remember this so I don't think that a friend and I made this song up! That would be helpful too!

Those lyrics are from an album of songs they had. The album was called " Paint a rainbow in your heart" came out in 1984. and the song was just "Starlite Rainbow Brite" I had a cassette when I was a kid, and it definitely had that song on it, I can still remember the tune.
The "Rainbow Brite and me" song was used as the closing credits to the threatrical movie, and then I think may have replaced the original theme in later episodes of the series.

Thanks jemgirl86 and Retro Future Man.. That was the EXACT song that I remember!! I was seriously beginning to think that we had made it up as children. I lost contact with her a while back so I couldn't ask her.

...Holy...crap. Rainbow Brite and Me was somehow stored in my head for over 22 years without me remembering that I knew it by heart. Off the top of my head, all I could remember was the tune of the chorus, but no lyrics. I had no idea what it was from, but once the mp3 started, I suddenly remebered all the lyrics. I'm so freakin' glad I found this thread.
