I'm not yet old enough to get tattooed.

But I plan on getting the Autobot Symbol inked when I am.

mabey a fake tatoo that washes off of a retro character but a real tattoo of a retro icon is a waste of 100 or more dollars.

a real tat isn't really a waste when it lasts forever

thats my point it will last forever and i think a retro tattoo you may regret, real tattoo fine whatever i have one and i love it but having a retro tattoo is like taking a retro lunchbox to work when your 30... i like retro stuff but there such a thing as going to far, a retro character as a real tattoo seems lame.

              I do agree with that.

I've talked to a bunch of people with tattoos that they regret, because the design was stupid, or they were drunk when they got it, etc.

You should be sure about what you want in the present day and what you're going to think about it in 10 years, 20 years, etc. before you get it.
The Autobot symbol I'm going to get tattooed isn't just because I love the Transformers. It's because me and my brothers watched Transformers together growing up, and Transformers reminds me of my brothers.

That may sound corny, but I don't care.

I have 9 tats and there are some I got when I was 18 and hate now.I dont think a retro tat would be any different than anyother.I know what I loved as a child and I still love those things, they have a meaning for me and in a way make up who I am.I have a emotional attachment to some of those things....so why not get a tat of it? I doubt my tastes are going to change considering I have loved those things this long and that love has brought me here:cool: But my tastes have changed since I got my very 1st tat when I was 18 ( which was 13 yrs ago sad to say:( ) And I got it with no rhyme or reason behind it...I just wanted one and got one I thought was 'cool' I have seen a guy with a full body tat (almost) of nothing but Walt Disney things mostly Mickey.I dont think he looks childish with those tats on him at all.
