It is out on dvd. I've had it for about a year, now. Here's the link.

This is the version we're all talking about. I got the dvd because I was going through some old tapes and came across the version I taped off of tv when it originally aired when I was 5 in 1985. I watched part of it and it got me really in the mood to see it crystal clear (well, as clear as a 1985 tv broadcast can get !) and on speakers other than just the regular tv speakers I've seen it on these past 22 years. Jeez, has it been that long ?

Woah, I'm seriously listening to Jefferson Airplane's "Go Ask Alice" right now. It was too weird not to mention that. A hookah smoking caterpillar said I should check this thread out.

The website has lots more clips too so check them out, my remembers when the Jabberwocky scene was on, because my sister would come upstairs anf rhen come back down a few minutes later when the scene was over. We used to have this on tape, until the tape broke. The role for Alice was originally supposed to be played by Heather O'Rourke, Carol-Anne from Poltergeist, but she dropped out from the role when the amonutn of money she was offered changed from one amount to another. They ended up getting Natalit Gregory, and she had to wear a blond wig because her antural ahir color is dirty blond.

Oh yes I loved that movie when I was younger. The little girl who played alice look almost like the book. It was a great tv movie back then. Even better I got to meet one of the stars who played the white queen carol channing. Oh she was so sweet and nice. She called me little doll and gave me a hug. I was so fabergasted I didnt know what to do. The next day I talked to her she told me alot about theater, showbiz and playing great characters.
