I've been wondering about this for awhile. If they ever made a comeback, what could Animaniacs spoof or pay tribute to? What could they skewer in song or skit? How politically correct would they be? My guess is they'd kick the pants off of current SNL.

I've actually had ideas of what they could do...

1. Another spoof of a famous tv show (I was thinking Full House or The Wonder Years.)

2. Facing off against more political figures. (Yakko: Mrs. Clinton, do your followers know of the ancient prophesy that the end of the world begins with your presidency?)

3. Parody more popular songs.

Eh, that's how I'd do it anyway.

For TV Shows, Lost, Desperate Housewives, The OC, Grey's Anatomy, SpongeBob, Avatar, Ugly Betty(Ugly Boo, lol), American Idol, Heroes, The Sopranos, Jackass and Oz(Totally toned down, nat) come to mind.

Movies, Borat, Shrek, the new Star Wars trilogy, anything Pixar, March Of The Penguins, and, if they dare, An Inconvient Truth are at the very top of my head.

Well, they could parody Happy Feet. And include subtle references to the controversy over it being "environmentalist propaganda" back in November 2006.

I have this weird idea for a parody of Queen's "Death on two legs." The song would be about predators.

            The short answer is anything.

Remember that they didn't just parody "current" films, TV shows and celebrities.

Probably do a parody of Pok'emon. :p Even though I'm into Pok'emon, I also like seeing cartoons poke fun at it as well.

I know I've bought it up before, but from 1999 to 2003, I worked on chain-link fan-fiction for "Animaniacs" and "Pinky And The Brain", and we set everything in our sights from "Pokemon" to politics and everything in-between.

                Here's a link to the stories: http://wbc.toonzone.net/fun/fanfics/

If you're looking for stories with my input, check for any story with Captain Caps as an author. My parts are the ones with extensive 80s references.

We were able to keep the spirit of "A!" going for a few more years, but as Toon Zone grew, the pool of authors shrank and now the continuum is dead. It was one Hell of a ride, though.

Oh, and if you like "Pokemon", you might not be all that happy with the shots we take at it.

I would reccomend taking a look at the "Animaniacs: The Great Edgar Hunt" video game on Gamecube and Xbox. You may be pleasently surprised.

True, but they did anything else they could in the 90's, but who knows, they oculd come up with something new.

I once thought (still do, sort of) that it would be cool to see a "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"-type movie that had characters from both Warner Brothers and Disney cartoons from the late 80s/early 90s.

Or one with all the Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network characters in it, but that'll never happen.
