As a kid, I never understood the pumping 'cause when I pumped mine I never felt a difference.

well not Really retro But I was Lucky enough to buy a 2005 Version of the Reebok Pump. This one was called the RBK-iPump.
It featured the Pump and release on the sides. However the pump action doesn't last that long (the bladders break easly) and after a while they'll cut into your feet. ( I now have a Funny bone in my foot knuckle) and went into destruction a week ago. a very expensive pair something mainly for Sports (uh Basketball??*) I got Mine For $100.00!! but to get back on the retro train. Yes when I saw these neat looking shoe I always wanted to try them out. But fell under the "Money Permission" line. But I've noticed they'd always put them out at least every 5 years. at a time.

*Reebok Pumps will not make you better at basketball. Practice ,Skill, and talent will.

I just watched the movie the Mighty Ducks and they were wearing them in the movie.

Several other shoe makers stold the idea. All they did is made my foot feel tight, but they did look cool. The best shoes ever were in the late 80s through mid 90s. I wish they would come up with something new for sneakers, right now I find them kind of boring.

I think I had the black pair that Dee Brown (Celtics) wore for a NBA All Star slam dunk contest. There's footage of him pumping up his sneaks before his turn to dunk. I also had a pair of Reebok Blacktop pumps that sold for dirt cheap when the "hoopla" of the pump shoes was on its way out.
