I used to LOVE those when I was a kid! Back in the very early 1970s when the Jack and Jill ice cream truck came up my street, I always got a Push-Up. Back then they were called "Rockets", with the cardboard tube being white with red and blue planets, stars and "USA" markings, and at one point, if I remember correctly, a plastic "nose cone" in place of the wrapper covering the ice cream, which was vanilla and chocolate. This was probably to commemorate the Apollo moon missions of the late 1960s and early 1970s. My parents later believed that Push-Ups were a waste of money, since they thought that we were paying more for the name and the packaging than for the ice cream, and as a result, started to discourage me from buying them. Anyway, do you remember Push-Ups being called Rockets? Did you get them because of their rocket/space theme?

I don't remeber the themes, but i use to eat them all the time. I remeber they had a orange/icecream flavor to them. They were pretty good.

I don't think I've ever had ones with the orange ice cream or sherbet. I've only had ones with vanilla ice cream with chocolate swirl. I still see Push-Ups, but only with the orange sherbet. I don't know if they still make them with vanilla/chocolate ice cream.

Dairy Queen used to have their version of the Push-Up called the "DQ Jet", which I believe came in all vanilla. I don't recall seeing chocolate DQ Jets.

Orange and red Flintstone ones were great, but the grape were nasty.

I could have swore there were flintstone push-ups that were vanilla and had sprinkles, but no one knows what i'm talking about, and I remember them almost clearly because they were so good, but at least we still got the sherbet. When my brother got his tonsils out, they scooped out an orange push-up for ice cream.

Yeah I remember the Fintstones ones we get them at the corner store and we got them all the time in the summer. I remember getting a Spongebob Squarepants one too just a few years ago.
