When I was in elementary school, I was fond of a book about an anamorphic dog detective (much like Sherlock). In this book, he solved a case of a missing necklace, and I vaguely remember them on a yacht at one point.

The illustrations were in black, white, and red. Does this ring a bell to anyone?
