Examples:
Super Mario Bros. Movie- Bashed it.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit- Loved it, two thumbs up from both of them.
And of course North- To quote Ebert- “I hated it!”
There's plenty more that were great reviews.

I do honestly respect their opinion and they are welcome to it but their attack on 80's slasher films will always stain their careers. It's one thing not to like something but their attempt to ban slasher films was hypocrisy on the side of film critics normally defend the right to freedom of expression.

Then again it's always fun to see Ebert blow up.

As long as I live I will never forget the night Siskel & Ebert reviewed "Infra-Man".

This has to be a "S&E" Classic!

      Here's the set-up:
Earth is under attack by an Army of Monsters commanded by Princess Dragon Mom! We're all doomed unless the brilliant scientist, The Professor, successfully transforms his brave assistant Rayma into the cyborg superhero, Infra-Man!

Only Infra-Man stands between Earth and Princess Dragon Mom's mutant monsters. In a totally unexpected plot twist, the Professor's daughter is captured by the evil Princess.

Can Infra-Man save her and the Earth before it's too late?

Gene Siskel just ragged on this movie. For him it was like a mid-70's preview of the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers". "So cheesy, all it needed was pasta", LOL!!

Imagine Gene's shock when Roger Ebert gave "Infra-Man" a thumbs-up! Roger just loved the high-voltage energy of the movie. Thrills-a-minute action, voice-over misques and lots of awful special effects below Bugs Bunny standards; and Roger Ebert LOVED it!

Instead of the usual fight, Gene Siskel was too stunned to razz Roger about his opinion. Roger Ebert's love for "Infra-Man" has never changed. He included it on his "Guilty Pleasure's" list of favorites. Here's the extended "Infra-Man" trailer on youtube:

Right-on! Roger Ebert admitted in an interview that he had to revise his reviews on classic 80's suspense/horror films.

I cant remember if it was Tommy Boy or Black Sheep, I believe it was Black Sheep though, Siskel said that he hated it so much that he walked out on it making it the first movie he had done so with for over 20 years.

Yes, it was "Black Sheep" from 1996 starring Chris Farley and David Spade.

According to jellyneckr - "One year after Tommy Boy, Black Sheep received awful reviews. Gene Siskel said that this was the first film he walked out on in 26 years of reviewing movies".

Hey Hazer Synn, I was searching for "Last House on the Left" and I ran into a youtube clip of Siskel & Ebert review "The Silence of the Lambs", the Oscar winning movie from 1991. This was pretty interesting so I'm posting a link here:

I wouldn't know. And Gene Siskel hated Chris Farley for no reason.

I hear ya. Gene Siskel's review of "Black Sheep" is on youtube. His rant is so hate-filled I didn't have the heart to link it here. Completely over the top, imo.

Good thing you didn't. I wouldn't put my fist on the monitor when Gene Siskel's face was shown and it be for hating on Chris Farley. He was a really funny guy and I miss him a lot.

Correct that... I WOULD'VE put my fist on the monitor when Gene Siskel's face was shown and it be for hating Chris Farley. I misspelled. My bad.
