Hey guys. My buddy at work let me borrow his copy of Halloween, the original John Carpenter. YEA Fkin nostalgia, movies aren't made like that anymore. Anyway, i could of sworn this scene was in the first one, but either i completely missed it while watching it or it happens in another movie.....

Michael Meyers is in a store....costume store? i think its just a thrift store that also carries halloween costumes. Anyway, this one scene you see Michael grab the white mask off the shelf, and then he tries it on in front of a mirror.

I thought this happened in the first one, and was how he obtained the mask, but i must of been mistaken. The only scene in the first one that gives you an idea how he might of got the mask was when the two girls (jamie lee curtis and her friend) are drivin, smokin and come across jamie lee curtis's dad's father, who is a cop. He is standing outside a store with broken windows and an alarm going off. He says "someone broke in and stole a couple masks and knives, must of been those damn kids"

Guys....what movie is the scene i am thinkin about from?
"I love the powerglove......it's so bad...."

I believe that scene is from the fourth Halloween movie. He needs a new mask so he steals one from the discount store.

In Halloween 4, there's a scene where his niece holds up a costume and looks at herself in the mirror. After a couple of seconds, she 'sees'(somehow she has a psychic link to uncle Michael) Michael as a child. The costume she is holding is similar to the one he wore when he killed his sister. She then turns around and sees him standing there, so she screams and breaks the mirror.
The mask they used in part four was the worst one of all. It looked like a big bleached face with Pat Reilly hair.

Yes, Halloween 4. Really an underrated sequel IMHO, certainly better than Zombie's Halloween 2 which was a JOKE!

The biggest mask selection was for Halloween H20. Besides around 3 or 4 different real masks, they also used CGI masks for some scenes.

Man Rob can't even come close to the original Halloween movies.I don't know why he made them in the first place I would have rather seen him bring all the characters together from the original ones I think that would have been better to have Laurie, Jaime and John meet that would have been better. Then it would have filled the hole that has been left void for some many years.

Yes i mean Rob's first two movies were great but i don't see the point in remaking Halloween in the first place, you can't fix what wasn't broken.

Speaking of Michael Myers mask, anyone notice that in the first nightmare on elm street when Nancy is running from Freddy and she goes into her house (the part where the steps she is going up are all gooey) when Freddy breaks the window on the front door, he has what appears to be a Michael Myers mask over his face? I've seen this movie numerous times but just recently I noticed this for the first time!

Wow, really? I thought it was supposed to be a mask of Nancy's dead friend Tina.

Maybe it is Tina, but to me it looks like a Michael Myers mask. I've never heard any of the film makers comment on this. Anyone know for sure what kind of mask it is?

I agree, it's suppose to be Tina's face.

I think there where different versions of the movie released on vhs. I have had 2 different copies of Halloween 1 and both where different. The last one I had on vhs had an extended scene with Dr. Loomis talking with a teenage Michael while he is looking over a book. Similar to one of the scenes in the new Rob Zombie take. Also on the same vhs there is a scene right before the girls meet with the sheriff in the car with Michael actually taking the mask from the store. The scene was very short it had 3-4 kids running through the store and you see Michaels boots then his hand grab the mask but it didn't show him putting it on or anything.

This is the only version I have seen where it had the Dr. Loomis and teenage Michael scene in it. If I remember correctly "as it has been a while sense I have seen this version" the actuall scene takes place as a flashback as Dr. Loomis and the nurse drive to the hospital gate. He is flashing back while he tells the nurse about Michael. So yes there was a scene in the original with Michael taking the mask from the store. It may not be on all versions though.

I think I remember reading about this online somewhere. I think these scenes were added when Halloween was first broadcast on network tv, I think this was on NBC. In fact I think I remember watching some extended scene when I was little where there was a hearing somewhere (possibly at court or the board of the psychiatric hospital) where Dr. Loomis was pleading to keep Myers locked up. I seem to remember this scene being in black and white.
