Really? I downloaded bittorrent on the suggestion of a friend, and in order to share files you had to select them and the damn thing converted them into .tor files. :?
I don't think you quite get how torrent files work. The .torrent file is the file you download (its a small file....I compare it to a card in a card catalog). you find the .torrent file you want, load it into a Bit torrent program such as ABC torrent or Azureus (best one in my opinion), and it goes out and gets the full file (the .Zip or .mpg or whatever) and downloads it to your computer. No conversions are involved whatsoever.
the .torrent is just the link to the real file.
I've veen using Bit torrents for about 8 months now, and have completely abandoned P2P programs for files. BT is much, much faster.
And MySpleen has a bunch of old Cartoons and TV shows from the 80s on it. But PLEASE....anyone who uses BTs........reseed the file when you are done. Loo many leechers out there who download and don't share it back.
