When I was a kid, I wanted to be a contestant on Nick Arcade. I couldn't play video games throughout most of my childhood, so this was my favorite game show at the time.

Nick Arcade (The most) Double Dare(but I know my mom would embarass me) guts(even though I wasnt atlectic or wanted to do all that stuff) wild and crazy kids, figure it out

Me too! I was so mad because I wanted to go on Nick arcade and kick-ass in the games. they dont even have any good game shows anymore(TPIR not included)

Double Dare didn't start off as a Nickelodeon show, am I right? I remember seeing it on a local station at first. I believe it moved to the network later though.

It started on Nickelodeon then was syndicated to other stations when it got popular.

I looked it up b/c it didn't sound right. It originated in Philadelphia (Channel 17, which I watched it on) in 1986 and was produced there. It was only in 1989 that it moved to Nick studios and stayed there until 1992 when cancelled.
I knew I watched it back then on Channel 17 (my hometown) and not on Nickelodeon. I caught the old-school version before they revamped it for Nickelodeon.
I really wanted to be on GUTS, i knew i could climb that mountain faster than those kids, i just knew it!! Double Dare would have been cool too!!

I always wanted to go on Double Dare, Legends, and Nick Arcade. If I was born before '85, Finders Keepers 'cause the house looked really cool...:p
Double Dare, no contest. By far the best game show. I'd love to see Mark Summers' OCD in person.
