Eh, full-time: four years. Night-time, I'm pretty sure I was six...?
My over-protected, sheltered, spoiled half brother is ten years old and still wearing night-time diapers.
I wonder what medical officials believe the right time to ween off of the diaper is.

... That's one bleak future you come from.

I can't remember when I did myself..I had alot of bladder issues and wet the bed for quite a few years. I think it was a psycholgical thing for me.

My son on the other hand will be four in June and has recently stopped wearing diapers and pull-ups during the day and right now we are trying him in underwear at night because he just doesn't understand that a pull-up is not supposed to be a diaper. If we put a pull-up on him he will just pee in it, so what we have been doing is waking him up everytime we get up to go pee or get a drink or just happen to wake up and lead him into the bathroom to see if he will go. So far there have just been a few accidents.

I think I was almost 3 before I got out of diapers. Night time diapers hadn't came out yet so I didn't wear those. I would of worn night time diapers for a long time until I was 13. Yep I had a bed wettin problem til I was 13 and I'm not embarrassed to admit it.

I have a 2yr old Nephew that my sister wants to try potty training him this summer. If it happens this summer Cool if not that's cool too.
It's OK, next time I'll make you listen. I wish that it were in the power of all children to say that to their parents and to know that indeed they would be heard as we were in those wonderful days on Waltons Mountain.Narrator The Waltons (From the Runawa

Woooowww. I didn't know diapers could be worn for so long! My family is really strange then, because none of us girls (3 of us) wore diapers past the age of 2. And forget nighttime diapers--I doubt my parents even knew what they were! I think it's because my parents were immigrants starting out here and it's definitely cheaper to not have to buy diapers and have the kid use the potty as soon as possible. I even remember helping potty train my little sister when she was one. And I've never wet the bed, so it's probably not too young.

I was probably 3 when I was able to use the toilet on my own. Never really was a big thing for me.

I was completely finished with diapers before I was two, as was my brother. This was because my mom was used laundered cloth diapers instead of those super-absorbent plastic ones. The problem with modern disposable diapers is that they're so comfortable, the kids never want to stop using them--sometimes they can't even tell if they're wet or not (or so my mom says. I don't have kids so I don't really know). Cloth diapers, on the other hand, are extremely uncomfortable when they're soiled. Thus, potty training probably seems a complete relief to the kids who wear them. Again, so says my mom. And she would know, I guess; she's a mom.

I don't even remember when I stopped wearing them, if that tells you anything. I'm guessing I was two or three. I remember having an accident one time because I held it too long, but I never wet the bed or anything.

Potty training is one of those things you deffinatly can't rush. If a kid is ready, they are ready, if not, and you try and make them potty train it will probably just prolong the process. Some are ready by two and some are not ready until almost four. They say that girls often potty train earlier than boys as well. It's deffinatly cheaper to have them potty trained but not if you push them to potty train when they are not ready.

I have no clue. All that matters is that I'm not wearing them now.

I was 3 and it was New Years Day 1986. My brother had the flu and we didn't go out and that was the time I started using the toilet.

And since then, I was diaper-free. (I just hope that when I'm 90 I still am.)
