Donna Pescow was born March 24, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY. Her father owned and ran a newstand in downtown New York City at Battery Place. Pescow attended and graduated from Sheepstead Bay High School in 1972. After seeing "Funny Girl" on broadway at age thirteen, she knew from then on that she wanted to pursue acting. Pescow also studied at the American Academy of the Arts.
Donna got her first supporting role as Annette, in 1977's "Saturday Night Fever." At the time, Pescow lost her native Brooklyn accent, though had to regain it for the role. Throughout the rest of the seventies, Pescow had many more acting roles, including portaying one of Judy Garland's older sisters in the TV biography movie, "Rainbow." In 1979, Donna starred in her own show, "Angie" for two seasons, until the show was eventually cancelled in 1980.
Eventually, Donna was cast in a groundbreaking role of Dr. Lynn Carson on the soap opera, "All My Children," which she portrayed from 1982 to 1983. She also played Donna Garland, the mother of Evie Ethel Garland, in the children's comedy show, "Out of this World," from 1987 to 1991.
From 2000 to 2003, Pescow played the mother Eileen Stevens, "Even Stevens" a sitcom on the Disney Channel. She also premiered in the finale of "The Sopranos" as the wife of mobster Patsy Parisi.
1987, Donna married Donald Zelonka, and they have a son together, Jack Casey Zelonka, who was born in August of 1989.
