Case Closed: the Fourteenth Target is the 2nd of the Detective Conan movies. It was released in Japanese theaters on April 18th, 1998, with an English dub scheduled for release on DVD only in November 20, 2007. The box office grossed ¥1.05 billion.
In this movie, Ran loses her memory after having a nightmare about her mother dying, but soon regains memory of some of the events that happened to her. Meanwhile, there has been murders/inujuries at people who all have some relation to Mouri Kogoro, and that all their names corresponded to a playing card. These people were targeted in order, from King down to Ace. The police concludes that this person wanted revenge on Mouri Kogoro, but as these injuries become murders, Conan realizes that it is a race to predict who the victims will be. He soon discoveres something quite different from what the police suspected, while learning about an incident from 10 years ago.
