Blues Brothers 2000

Movie Summary

Released: 1998
Elwood, the now lone "Blues Brother" finally released from prison, is once again enlisted by Sister Mary Stigmata in her latest crusade to raise funds for a children's hospital. Once again hitting the road to re-unite the band and win the big prize at the New Orleans Battle of the Bands, Elwood is pursued cross-country by the cops, led by Cabel (Morton) the Curtis' son (and Elwood's step-brother), the Russian Mafia, and a militia group. On his new "mission from God" Elwood enlists the help of a young orphan (Bonifant), and a stip-club bartender (Goodman).

This movie could have been alot better if they had Jim Belushi instead of John Goodman, and if they had gotten rid of the kid, Buster.

I didn't like how they would start singing in middle of some scenes then everybody would go back to normal, the part where they get turned to those like zombies and start singing is the worst.

This sequel to the Blues Brothers just sucked. I loved the first Blues Brothers, because frankly I liked Belushi. I thought his performance was awesome, and with Aykroyd as well. I couldn't get over the car chase that took the Blues Brothers and the police department into a mall, how sweet would have it been to be actually doing that.

This sequel on the other hand, just didn't deliver. I just don't know why they bothered making this movie with the loss of Belushi and without the feeling that the first Blues Brothers had. It's sad really.
